?? about "official" count for LBNA...

From: Erika Seftor (forestfrogs@yahoo.com) | Date: 2003-01-17 17:21:43 UTC-08:00

At the risk of starting another heated discussion, which I do NOT wish to do, I do seriously want to know...does LBNA consider hitchhikers part of the "official" count for reaching these milestones (if it is even considered official)?  My husband and I are of differing opinions on this, since I only like to count boxes that I actually went out and found deliberately under my F count, with hitchhikers considered separately...he likes to lump them together.  Is it just up to the people putting themselves on the list?  I read the FAQ, but I didn't think this was specifically addressed.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not engage in another icky, nasty, "well I think your opinion sucks" thread over this!!!!!!

Thank you,

The peace-loving Mama Frog, of the Forest Frog Family

That should put some names on the mailing list--
If you receive the letterbox, just pick someone from the list and
contact them to see if they want to receive it too! (And I am sure
that some of these folks have passed the 500 mark already)

There aren't any hard, fast rules for how to count hitchhikers, and
people do them both ways. Use whatever you feel works. I count all
of my hitchhikers as Founds for no other reason than it's less
numbers to keep track of. *shrug* But whatever works for you, do
that.

Don't worry I won't argue with the forest frog family. I really like that name. We count Hitchhikers and event stamps as finds just as we would when finding a hidden box. If others disagree, thats ok but that is how I do my PFX count. It's my understanding that it was originally only PFX no E or HH. Psychomommy has all sort of counts that she does, Including lizards, and thats ok too. Thats her choice and I think we can respect that. There really isn't any set rules in this. I do understand how people would like a set of guidelines to go by but to my knowledge there are none. Well, anyway, thats what Molly and I do......Chuck and Molly
